Postdoctoral Research Associate[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]

Maša Šorn is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate and part of Live Works team, with main research interest in collaborations between local communities and the University – specifically the School of Architecture’s Live Projects initiative.

Her passion for co-produced spatial design projects emerged during her undergraduate study of Landscape Architecture and Planning (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia), when she co-founded a voluntary group PAZI!PARK with fellow landscape architects interested in engaging with people through workshops, open air exhibitions, pop-up events and small-scale spatial interventions. After completing her MSc in Theory and Practice of Sustainable Design (Cardiff University, Wales), her research work focused on socio-spatial sustainability in the built environment in the context of Ljubljana Urban Region. She joined Sheffield School of Architecture in 2013, where her doctoral research focused on spatial literacies and the nature of communication in collaborative spatial design processes.
