I am Professor for History and Theory of Architecture and the City at the Technical University Braunschweig. In the face of epochal transformations and increasing socio-spatial inequalities, my research and teaching deals with case studies that promote principles of socio-spatial and ecological justice. At the same time, it is important for me to address the consequences of these changes on the profession, practice and training of architects and to develop other forms of doing, working and producing. I am particularly concerned with the social, economic and political parameters within and through which architectures and cities emerge, as well as tools and methods that enable non-violent productions of space.
